Planet Descriptions
This page is a breakdown of the short, one-sentence descriptions I put on my planet lists. These descriptions are
based on those used by StarGen ⎘, a
random solar system generator. A few of my systems are based on StarGen output, and I use some of their equations
in my manually-created systems. I find the summary output useful, so I extended it here.
As an example, the planet Tombaugh's entry on the colony list
page describes the planet as "High-G, Cold, Wet, Thick atmosphere (N2, O2, Ar), 20.75h day." I find this more succinct
than looking through the tables!
Note that if all the parameters for a planet fall into the "normal" range, the planet is listed as "Earthlike."
